There is plenty to do in Newtonmore and the surrounding area especially if you like the outdoors:

  • The Wildcat Trail is a 6 mile track encircling the village and takes in some beautiful scenery and a variety of terrain. Wildcat Trail
  • Laggan Wolftrax mountain biking centre is only a few miles along the road. Laggan Wolftrax
  • There are lots of other off/on road cycling routes in the area as well as several bike repair and hire shops.
  • There are 20 Munros within a 20 mile radius including the fantastic Creag Meagaidh which the house is named after. (Creag Meagaidh means "Rock of the Boggy Place"!) It is also possible to walk from the front door to the top of at least 3 Munros. Cairngorms walks
  • If you want someone to guide you up the Munros we recommend Steven Fallon

  • Newtonmore Golf Course is just round the corner.
  • Tennis courts and bowling green are even closer.
  • There are some great rock climbing routes on Creag Dubh which overlooks the village.
